Morgan's Summer Tops
My Squirrelfriend
This squirrel was so adorable! She hung out in the tree while I was resting on my bed. She was talking to me and chatting away. I brought Doug in to watch and she ran away. He left and she came back. She finally settled down in this position and just watched me laying there. Doug was able to come in the room and get this picture. She eventually moved down the tree to drink in the water fall below.

Sunday Dinner
Today was a relaxing day. Went to WW and got to visit with Teresea and the girls. They are getting so FUN now! Maranda is the happiest baby and Sara is observant. She likes Maranda to go first. Both girls love to move and be jiggled on the knee. Spent the day doing laundry and baking. Made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, cheese dinner rolls, canned peas and meatloaf gravy for dinner. Bob, Jason and Andy joined Doug & I. It seemed like dinner was finished in 60 seconds. Jason helped us finish (or at least got us unstuck) on a puzzle. Bob and I finally finished it about 9 p.m. I made Bran muffins and will give them to Teresea and Nina sometime Monday.

Happy Friday!
I didn't sleep well last night. I did get up and go to Water Aerobics. I only got 10 laps in before the class started. My friend Gale came to class today. There were 9 ladies present. It was a nice class. I went grocery shopping. I cleaned up after spraying for ants. I took Nina to get her hair cut with Martha at 3 p.m. and I got my hair cut SHORT! It's nice & short. Doug and I went to Mac's and now I'm making a breakfast casserole for the WAB brunch tomorrow. All in all it was a good day. I did watch "Milk" today in which Sean Penn did a wonderful job. I'm getting ready to take Jason to a Bachelor party then going to bed. Can't wait! I do need to schedule some down time for myself . . .

Happy Thursday
I woke up in a lot of pain this morning. I made and ate breakfast then got ready for On The Ball class. I barely made it through the class. I kept thinking "Why am I doing this?" I finished the class, called Doug to whine then took an Advil and let it kick in before my lunch with Kathy and Debi. Lunch was great but I am no good at navigating Walnut Creek. Frustrating to say the least and not feeling well on top of it. I stopped by Vespa on the way home to pick up some oil for Doug. There was a 6+ car accident on the top of Willow pass at about 2:50 p.m. I stopped off at Kragen to get some tamper proof screws for my license plate. William and another person we know got their plates stolen this week. The clerks said at Kragen that it's happening a lot lately. It must be the new crime-craze. Netflix arrived today so I relaxed and watched "The Reader" with Kate Winslet. She is so good!

The Cemetery
I was at the cemetery yesterday changing a flag for Mom and checking on things in general. Sometimes when I visit, the groundskeepers will stop what they're doing (if they're in my basic area) move away and wait for me to leave before they continue. I've always found this considerate and respectful. I hate that I mess up their schedule so keep these visits brief. I was finished with Mom, checked on the grandparents then looked over to Aunt Marion and there was this kindly old groundskeeper with a bundler of artificial flowers in his hands. He was wrapping the stems with white tape. I was curious so I STARED and saw that he laid them down and was writing on the white tape. He then put them in a wheelbarrow with several other bundles of flowers. I realized that he was going plot by plot picking up the flowers, marking them and putting them in the wheelbarrow. Apparently he will do this for a section of the cemetery then they mow and weed and clean-up and he puts them all back according to what he marked on the tape. How remarkable! I did not even consider that people would be so considerate as to go to this much trouble. Then . . . he saw me staring, stopped what he was doing and put his head down (as if in prayer) and I took off!

Summer 2009
School got out on the 18th. I worked the 19th and the 21st emptying out my classroom. I am hoping to move to another school but if I don't get to move, then that's okay. I have a redesign in mind.
I have been busy since school got out. I can't believe it's July 6th already? I have been to San Diego and back. Have seen King Tut in San Francisco. Had my nephew Gabe for 11 days. Had a 4th of July Potluck and had lunch with my BFF Carma today at the new Red Robin's in Brentwood.
I spent the morning cleaning my studio and for those of you who have seen my studio then you know what a magnificent and monumental task that is.
